- Suffixes: app, hq, io, hub, lab, ai, co
Compound Words

TLD Hacks

Availability Checking
Each suggested name is checked via real WHOIS lookup:
- Available — unregistered, you can register it now
- Registered — already taken, shows registrar and expiry if expiring soon
- Reserved — held by the registry (premium or reserved names)
Availability checks use 1 WHOIS credit per domain checked. The tool batches checks intelligently to minimize credit usage.
TLD Recommendations
| TLD | Best For |
|---|---|
| .com | Universal — always the first choice |
| .io | Tech products and developer tools |
| .co | Short, memorable alternative to .com |
| .dev | Developer tools and documentation |
| .app | Mobile and web applications |
| .ai | AI products (regardless of geography) |
Saving to Watchlist
When you find a domain name you like:
- Click Add to Watchlist next to any result.
- The domain is added to your ElasticDomain workspace as a WATCHLIST-type domain.
- Set up an expiry alert so you are notified if the domain ever becomes available.
Tips
- Check .com availability first — if it is taken, decide whether to use a different TLD or a different name
- Shorter names are almost always better — aim for 2 words maximum
- Avoid hyphens — they are hard to say verbally and often associated with lower-quality sites
- If your preferred .com is taken but not developed, consider monitoring it on the watchlist for when it expires
